Harlan
County Lake has 6 boat ramps including two
provided by the two Marinas on the lake - most are
accessible at most lake elevations. Corps of Engineers
boat ramps are maintained at Gremlin, Hunter and
Methodist Coves. Boaters are cautioned to watch
for submerged obstructions at all times. Changes
in the lake level can add hazards to previously
safe boating areas.
There is a day use fee from April 1st - October
31st for launching boats at Gremlin Cove, Hunter
Cove and Methodist Cove. The boat launching fee
is waived with a paid camping permit at any Corps
of Engineers operated park. An annual day use pass
may be purchased from the Corps of Engineers Visitor's
Office or fee booths at Hunter Cove or Methodist
Cove Parks. |
